Welcome back! We are happy to see another Friday arrive. Friday is our favorite day not only because it is the beginning of the weekend, but because it gives us another chance to link up with Doodle Bugs Teaching and share this week’s Five For Friday.
We’ve entered into the wonderful world of bugs this week! There are so many interesting bug explorations and activities for kids out there that it’s hard to pick and choose just a few. We found some great self-directed activities where the kids have the opportunity to express their own creativity. Two our favorites were our bug building art and bug building play-doh centers.
You can find the details to both of these activities and more in our post entitled Crazy About Bugs.
Have you started planning your classroom Mother’s Day gifts yet? We have a great activity for your kiddos on our Teachers Pay Teachers store. The best part is it’s FREE!
Head over to our store and download this All About My Mom sheet. Your kids get to fill in the blanks with special things about their mom. This gift is sure to be loved by all the special moms out there!
With the end of the school year just around the corner we have entered into the final push towards Kindergarten. In order to get our kids Kindergarten ready we have started alphabet boot camp! Each day we are focusing on a different letter.
The kids have made alphabet headbands each day that correspond with the letter we are focusing on. These adorable headbands are really helping our kids associate each letter with the sound it makes and a few words that begin with that letter. You can find these alphabet headbands for your classroom on The Moffatt Girls TpT store.
Anybody else feeling like this? It seems the closer to the end of the year it gets the less effort goes into our appearance each day. To all our fellow teachers out there – stay strong! The end is near!
We are down to 5 weeks until summer! It is crazy how fast time is flying by. This week what we are most looking forward to about summer is not having our days scheduled out. It is nice to wake up without a plan and just see where the day takes you.
That completes our Five For Friday for the week. We hope that you’ve enjoyed reading about our week. Make sure to come back next week for more fun and another Five For Friday!
