Doodle Bugs Teaching Five For Friday

Happy Friday! We are glad Friday is here and happy to link up with Doodle Bugs Teaching to share our five for Friday. Here’s a recap of our week.

We’ve been having fun on the farm this week! Farm animals is one of our absolute favorite themes and so much fun to teach. The amount of activities available for teaching about the farm and farm animals is extensive. Some of our favorite YouTube videos about farm come from The Peterson Farm Bros.

Five For Friday Peterson Farm Bros

The Peterson Farm Bros are 3 brothers who live and work on a family farm in Kansas. Their videos are parodies of popular songs that teach all about life on the farm. We watch these videos every year during our farm theme and every year the kids absolutely love them! They are definitely worth checking out!

Farm Sensory Bin For Kids

The farm theme also called for a farm sensory bin. This sensory bin is a variation of a farm sensory bin we created last year. The details of this sensory bin and all of our farm activities will be shared in a post next week, stay tuned!

We had group picture day this week. Our fellow teachers will understand the love/hate relationship we have with picture day. While it is fun to see all the kids dressed up, trying to get a group of 3-5 year olds to pose for the camera is a lot of work. In the end the pictures always turn out well but during the process we tend to get a little stressed.

Number 3

This week was bittersweet as one of our favorite shows concluded Tuesday night. If you are anything like us, you have been obsessed with the riveting season of American Crime Story. Both Angie and myself as well as our assistant have been glued to our televisions each week to see the latest episode of The People v. O.J. Simpson.

Five For Friday People v OJ

This show is one of the best any of us have seen in a very long time. The casting was amazing, the story compelling, and the directing impeccable. Watching this show each week was like traveling in a time machine back to 1994. Everything about this show made you feel like you were right there in the courtroom. We cannot wait to see what happens with this series next.

Number 4Five For Friday Donors Choose Pledgecents Collage

Before the end of the school year we are trying to get a few more new things for our classroom. Angie has a cause on PledgeCents to try and get a class set of headphones. I have a Donors Choose project as well to get a few boogie boards for our classroom. We ask that you please share these links out with anyone you know who might be able and willing to support our classroom. Our students greatly appreciate all your help!

Here are the links if you would like to copy and paste them onto your social media accounts.

Number 5Summer Countdown

We are continuing our summer countdown this week. Today we hit the 8 week mark until our summer begins!

Last week we shared about being excited to not have to wake up to an alarm everyday. This week the thing we are looking forward to about summer is not having to put on makeup and work clothes everyday. Stretchy pants and flip flops are a girl’s best friend!

Five For Friday Meme

That rounds out our Five for Friday for this week. We hope you have enjoyed catching up with us. Make sure to come back next week for even more fun!
