Hello and Happy Friday! Another Friday brings us another chance to link up with Doodle Bugs Teaching and share our five for Friday. Here’s what we’ve been up to this week.
This week we learned all about transportation. Earlier in the week we shared a post with the details of all the transportation activities from the week. Of all the fun activities, our favorite by far were the geo trains the kids created in the art center.
One of the many reasons we love this activity is that it is a great way to incorporate STEAM into our art center. The kids combined engineering skills with geometry and art! Each child’s train was created with their own creativity making all the trains unique. Make sure to go check out our post on transportation for more information.
Have you heard of a site called PledgeCents? PledgeCents is a place for teachers to post classroom needs and gives others the opportunity to invest in the teacher’s cause. Angie posted her first cause on the site this week.
She is asking for a class set of headphones to use with our classroom technology and for noise canceling purposes. Take a look at her cause today and see how it works!
While we’re on the subject of classroom needs, I have a new Donors Choose project as well! After just having my last one funded I wasn’t planning on doing another one but I decided I would do one more small before the end of the year. I am trying to get 4 boogie boards for the kiddos to use during small group time and centers. Check out my project and share!
Today is the first day of April! It is crazy how fast this year is flying by. We are going to blink and it’s going to be Christmas again. We have lots of fun things planned for the month of April! Some of our favorite themes are coming this month. Make sure you have subscribed to our site so you don’t miss out on any of the fun!
We are in the homestretch of the 2015-2016 school year. With only 9 weeks to go summer will be here before we know it. For the next 9 weeks we will be sharing either something we are doing to get ready for summer or something we have planned for the summer that we are looking forward to.
This week the thing we are looking forward to about summer is not having to get up with an alarm every morning. Both of us love sleeping in, so we are very much looking forward to a chance to sleep in and relax a little.
That wraps up our five for Friday for this week. We wish you all a happy Friday and a great weekend. Make sure and come back next week for more fun!
