Five For Friday 7-10-2015
Well my friends, the summer is flying by! It always seems to me that the summer tends to go faster after we hit the July 4th mark and now we have already reached July 10th! Since it is Friday, that means that we are linking up with our friends at Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five For Friday! Now on to our week!
I left on Sunday to go do a little retail therapy down in San Marcos at the outlet mall! They were having a fantastic sale for July 4th and I was able to get some goodies at a great price! The majority of what I bought was for my son, but I did get myself a new purse at the Vera Bradley outlet. Their entire store was 50% off with an additional 20% off your total purchase! Now that is what I call a sale! While I was there I picked up a couple of items that we will be giving away as door prizes at our sessions at Region 4’s ESC AGC Institute and Frog Street Splash! If you are attending one of these wonderful conferences, be sure to come and see us!
Heather has spent her week at camp with the youth from her church. This is something that she does every summer and is one of her favorite times. She said that she has been having a lot of fun with her campers. They have endured a bit of rain and a lot of mud, but that hasn’t stopped the fun! The kids are having a blast. Heather is having fun as well, but she can’t wait to get home to her own bed and a real shower!
Even though we have had a full week, we are super jealous that some of our fellow teacher bloggers and TpT sellers are in beautiful Las Vegas at the 2015 Teachers Pay Teachers Annual Conference. We are living vicariously though their Instagram posts! We can’t wait to hear everything they have learned while there. We are already making plans to be at the conference next year!
Once I got home from my few days of R&R, I started working on a new product for our Teachers Pay Teachers store. It is my goal to have all of the Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines I can… statements finished and on the store before we get to our first conference at Region 4 ESC on July 21st. I would LOVE to have all of the Kindergarten TEKS I Can… statements finished by then as well, but I will have to sleep at some point! What do you think of the burlap, chevron, polka dots and turquoise? I kind of love it! Once they are finished, we will have pink, blue, orange, black and more! Tell us what you think! Please!
Our friends at Super Simple Learning released a new playlist on YouTube on Wednesday. The new playlist is so amazing! It includes their new videos, The Pinocchio and a puppet version of Uh-Huh. Click on the pic above to be taken to the new playlist. You will not be disappointed! I can tell you right now, these will be our go to songs this coming school year! I can hardly wait to see the kiddos doing The Pinocchio! Thank you Super Simple for making such engaging, learning videos for young learners!
Thanks for stopping by! Please let us know what all you have been doing! We hope you all have a terrific week!
