Five For Friday 58

Doodle Bugs Teaching Five For Friday

Well friends it has been a LONG time since we have done a Five for Friday post. All we can say is that it has been a crazy couple of months! We were reminded this past weekend that people do actually read our posts and that would like to see more. Thank you to the sweet lady at our session at the kindergarten Teachers of Texas conference for giving us this much needed nudge! We are once again linking up with our friends at Doodle Bugs Teaching for the Five For Friday Blog Hop!

We did our favorite Thanksgiving present for our kiddos parents. We know that a lot of people do this activity, but we still love it. The kids love doing it and we hope that the parents will cherish it.

Another fun craft that the kids love is our annual turkey headband! We love that they have so much fun with it and we can modify it for all of the children’s ability levels. Aren’t they cute?

There are so many great crafts this time of year. We love having activities that our students can do with their families. The family turkey project is one of our favorites of the year. The look on our students’ faces when they share their turkey with the class are priceless.

Thanksgiving

These are just a few of the yummy fruits that will make up our annual Friendship Fruit Salad. We started doing this instead of a Thanksgiving Feast a number of years ago. We send home a note asking for the kids to bring their favorite fruit to contribute to our fruit salad. We talk about how when we put all of our fruit together we get a delicious fruit salad. We explain it is just like our class, if we all weren’t here together it just wouldn’t be the same .

We don’t know about you, but we are in desperate need of our Thanksgiving break. We need the rest, the time with our families and we need time to watch Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life!
