Doodle Bugs Teaching Five For Friday

Welcome back! We are very excited for today for multiple reasons, but especially because it is Friday which means we get to link up with Doodle Bugs Teaching and share our five for Friday with you! This has been a wild and crazy week in PPCD/Pre-K as I’m sure it has been for most teachers out there. Check out what crazy things we’ve been up to this week.

You’re a mean one Mr. Grinch… Our students made possibly the cutest handprint art ever this week. These grinch handprints were incredibly easy to make and turned out perfectly!

We shared all the details of this craft on the blog this week in part 2 of our classroom Christmas activity blog posts. If you haven’t read it yet, you still have time to check it out and try some of these activities before Christmas!

We finished up the kids’ Christmas craft bags this week and sent them home. All of the Christmas crafts we have done over the past 3 weeks were saved and put into the bag. The kids got to take home their bags and give all of their Christmas projects to their families. This was the first year we have done this and it worked out really well. The kids were even more excited than usual to bring home their crafts since they knew we had been saving them for so long!

Number 3Donors Choose Sensory Collage

Angie’s Donors Choose project supplies arrived in the mail this week! The sensory materials she received are great! We have had so much fun playing with them ourselves and can’t wait to bring these materials out after the break for our kids to explore.

Number 4Oprah Sick Meme

Everyone was getting sick in our room this week. Our poor kiddos were dropping like flies with fevers and coughs over the week. It is definitely not fun when sickness is running rampant in the classroom, and also a little nerve wracking not knowing who is going to come down with the sickness next. Thankfully everyone will have two weeks away from the germs to get healthy again.

Number 5Christmas Break

We made it!!!!!!! After three very long, exhausting, exciting, crazy, wild weeks we have finally made it to Christmas break! Both Angie and myself have big plans to rest up, relax, and spend some much needed time with family and friends.

We would like to wish all of our readers a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year. To all our fellow teachers, enjoy your break and take some time for yourself. We will be taking a little break from the blog over the next two weeks as well but will be back in the new year with lots of new ideas!

Heather & Angie
