Doodle Bugs Teaching Five For Friday

We are sad to say that another summer week has come and gone. Is it just us, or is this summer going WAY to fast? Since it is Friday once again, we are linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five For Friday!

We did our first Periscope streaming broadcast! We had not even heard of Periscope a few weeks ago and now we have had two broadcasts! We first heard of Periscope from all of the teacher bloggers/TpT Sellers who went to the Teacher’s Pay Teacher’s conference a couple of weeks ago. They started posting their Periscope accounts on Instagram and I knew we HAD to be a part of it! I thought we would just WATCH our fellow teacher bloggers, but Heather thought otherwise! To be honest, I was not wild about being on camera, but Heather talked me into it! We did our first scope over the weekend and got a good response, so we did one after our presentations at the AGC Institute! I know we will be doing some while we are the Frog Street Splash conference next week and we might have some surprises for people who watch our scopes and are at Splash! If you aren’t on Periscope yet, you should be! If you are on Periscope, follow us and we will follow you!

We have had products for sale on Teachers Pay Teachers for a while and hadn’t sold anything. Our free products had been downloaded a LOT, so it was upsetting to us that we hadn’t actually sold anything. Then it happened! We sold a product! It is such a good feeling! That single sale has made all of the hours spent on all of the products worth it! We pray that this will be the first of many!

Number 3

We went to Houston this week to present at the Region 4 AGC Institute. We had two breakout sessions and they went so well! It was our first time to speak at a conference and we totally loved it! We got really good feedback from the evaluations our attendees left for us. We can’t wait for next week when we have our breakout session at Frog Street Splash!

Number 4

Our number two was that we sold our first product on Teachers Pay Teachers and here are some of the new products that we have added to our store. We have classroom management bundles that include line up numbers, classroom jobs, center labels and environmental print labels! That’s everything you need to start the school year! If you are a Texas Early Childhood or Kindergarten teacher, we have the Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines and Kindergarten TEKS “I Can” statements. They are shabby chic with burlap and chalkboards! They come with either chevron, polka dots or stripes. Right now we just have the white and black in the store, but we will be adding some bright pink, turquoise and lime! We also have a Pre-K Assessment Checklist. Everything that you need for assessment and data folders is included in this must have!

Number 5

If you are an early childhood educator, more than likely you have been on the great website The mastermind behind Pre-K Pages is Vanessa Levin. Vanessa speaks at different early childhood conferences and we were fortunate to hear her speak at Frog Street Splash a couple of years ago. We were super excited to see that Vanessa started following us on Instagram and Periscope! We have been such fans of hers for so long! It is a wonderful feeling when someone you admire takes notice of what you are doing! We have arrived!

We have had such a great week and we hope that your week was just as good!
