Education Beliefs To Action 4

This week is another busy one for us. We will be speaking at Frog Street Splash on Saturday! Since it was such a crazy busy week, we hadn’t planned a blog post, but when we saw that Whitney Alexanderson from With Love From Texas was having an Education Beliefs Blog Hop, we knew that we wanted to be a part of it.

Education Beliefs To Action

If you spend any time at all with an educator, they will make their education beliefs known. Some teachers have many beliefs, while others may have only a few that they live by.  I think we fall into the group with only a few core beliefs that we feel are vital in order for our kiddos to succeed in our classroom.

Our Core Education Beliefs

  • We are a school family.
  • Every child in the class is an important part of our family.
  • As teachers it is our responsibility to ensure that every child feels safe and comfortable in our class.
  • Every child has the desire and ability to learn.
  • Since we teach Pre-K and PPCD, we have the youngest students in the school. We are the teachers that help determine if these students LOVE school or HATE school. It is up to us!

These are just a few of our beliefs. While they may sound simple, they are our core beliefs and we feel they are vital to our students success.

We can’t wait to read about our fellow educator’s education beliefs. We hope that you will continue with the blog hop and hop on over to Jackie Wheeler’s Teachers Are Neat, Sweet & Hard To Beat to see what her list of education beliefs.

I completely agree that as teachers it is our responsibility to ensure that every child feels safe and comfortable in the classroom! Building that sense of community and having students feel comfortable in the learning environment is really important to their success at school.

    Hello Ladies!

I enjoyed reading your beliefs! And you’re so right. Students decide whether or not they like school early on. Primary teachers play a big role! Thanks for helping those little ones on their journey! Best wishes this year!

First off..I am totally jealous that you get to go to Frog Street Splash! And, not only going, but SPEAKING!? WOW!! That’s amazing! Secondly, I think that sometimes simple beliefs are all we need. They speak to what is true..they cut right down to what is valuable. I loved reading your beliefs. I adored the statement “Since we teach Pre-K and PPCD, we have the youngest students in the school. We are the teachers that help determine if these students LOVE school or HATE school. It is up to us!” I taught pre-k for 12 years and have now taught K for 2..and this is the one thing I hold dear to my heart. It warmed my heart to read that on your blog! Thank you for sharing!
