We are having a busy and fun week before Easter in our class! We are making these super cute Easter eggs we found on Facebook. This idea came from http://www.momto2poshlildivas.com/2013/02/wet-chalk-tape-resist-easter-egg.html.
Here is what you will need:
- egg template
- white card stock
- sidewalk chalk
- masking tape
- cup or bowl of water
This Easter craft is so easy. Get your masking tape and tape your card stock egg to form geometric spaces to be colored in by the sidewalk chalk. Give the kiddos a taped card stock egg and wet sidewalk chalk and let them create their masterpiece! Seriously, that simple and that cute!
We learned a few things while making these adorable chalk eggs that we need to share. First, be sure to soak your sidewalk chalk in water BEFORE you start your craft. We first tried just dipping the chalk into the water and then coloring the egg. Epic fail! Basically, it just rubbed holes in the paper, which leads me to the next thing we learned: You definitely want to copy the egg template to card stock and not c
onstruction paper or you will be left with nothing but an egg full of holes!
